Really astonishing how this company—and its parent company, or its parent’s parent or whatever level of the corporate structure is responsible for the film universe—did you so dirty after decades of stories that very much shaped the extremely lucrative DC Comics universe. Boo!

Ending on a cliffhanger?! I’d expect nothing less ;)

These entries all feel like they are somewhat adding up to a Supergods Part Deux and I am very much in favour of it!

Long may they continue!!

Season 2 was built in an atmosphere of change and chaos for sure, with zero certainty for either of us that we'd be able to complete our intended epic through space, time and the medium of comics themselves. Everything shifted beneath our feet all the time. We were both a little lost, both struggling in different ways, and yet what we did, especially by the end, was to create our favourite season. It's wild, and rich, and unpredictable - a true collaboration, that took chances at every single turn, but celebrated a cacophony of influences from myriad mediums. I adore Season 2, from the insanely detailed traditional first issue, the wild Dr. Whovian beatnik retro madness of issue 2, through the crazed psychedelia of toys and giants, Kirby-esque thunder, the backward anti-matterverse, the alternate reality romcomedy, and eventual sci-fantasy fully-painted McKean via Don Lawrence and Rodney Mathews two-part pay-off of the final issues. It was life-changing for me. I don't think I could have done Batman; Reptilian, or StarHenge without that run. It brought me, exploding, into new creative realms. And, Lord, I missed it when we were done! Bless you, Grant! What a journey we had! x

I had a strange Moment of Clarity/Epiphany a while back -- it suddenly struck me that except for Batman and Superman, ALL of the original Silver Age membership of the Justice League were either Policemen or Royalty... (and that's already a dubious distiinction to make, given than both Bruce and Superman are the scions of Great Houses of the Noble Aristocracy of their respective societies, The House of El and The House of Wayne) :

Green Lantern's a Policeman,

Katar Hol and Shyara are Policemen,

Barry Allen works in the Police Crime Lab,

Aquaman is a King,

Wonder Woman is a Princess and heir to The Throne of Paradise Island after Queen Hippolita --

And from the Chivalric. noblesse-oblige perspective, the distinction between a Sovereign Monarch or Liege-Lord and an officer of Law Enforcement becomes absolutely negated and redundant.
