Pantomime animals, also known as ‘skin parts’, are fixtures of the authentic panto experience. From Buttercup the heifer to Dick Whittington’s cat, these outlandish totem creatures - often comprised of two human beings working face to ass in perfect unholy tandem – these escapees from the furry menagerie, these crackpot centaurs that are part human, part outsize cuddly toy, are native to the uncanny boundary where living things and plushies join forces to challenge all that’s natural!

In Luda, it is a goggle-eyed pantomime cow, a creation of mad artifice, that serves as guide into the underworld for Luci LaBang and Luda her protege as they face the sinister side of the Glamour for the first time…

I’m preparing to leave Scotland for the first time in almost 3 pandemic years, bound for a week of Luda promo appearances. I’m doing some TV spots and I hope to catch up with those of you who can make it in person to live events in New York or Los Angeles.
