MIX OP
The Mixers poster for our 1981 Christmas show at the Café Vaudeville in Glasgow, is one of many we made to promote the band’s various performances.
We’d get them printed then go around the town flyposting on every available wall, dodging the police and rival guerrilla marketeers.
The Mixers posters were all done in this black and white op art style and generally featured cool ‘60s girls. Everything in this one is hand-drawn and lettered.

I love this! Are the little coloured stripes city light being reflected? They add an intriguing extra layer... I miss my own band days, though not the setting up and packing away of all the kit!
What a legend from the early days - what a rush it must have been. I remember furring for raves.
